Trunk Music is the sixth novel by American crime author Michael Connelly, and the fifth featuring the Los Angeles detective Hieronymus "Harry" Bosch. In his first case since he transferred to Homicide, Connelly's character Bosch investigates a body found in the trunk of a Rolls-Royce near the Hollywood Bowl. The death seems to have connections to the Mafia in Las Vegas. After the victim's name and address are discovered, Bosch and one of his teammates interview his wife. Bosch searches a small office where the victim maintained a small studio facility. He examines the surveillance video of the entrance to the office, which shows that the office had been broken into and that phone bugs were removed.
